Troop teacher

A specialist troop teacher is a lecturer at a teaching facility of the Bundeswehr . He is mostly subordinate to the head of teaching / training and is headed by a head, who is usually a general staff officer , as a so-called "group of specialist troop teachers".

The troop subject teachers are requested in the educational institutions by the individual inspections or lecture hall directors to teach the various courses. They support you in all function, career and leadership courses. All levels are trained, from candidate sergeants to battalion commander . In addition, the group of specialist instructors supports the group on further development in the field of training regulations and advises the various units on training and further education. They also design training locations so that they can practice as realistically as possible.

Specialized troop teachers are usually staff officers of the troop service, but in certain fields (blasting, bridge building) they can also be officers of the specialist service. The prospective military instructors attend the tactics and logistics instructor course at the army officers' school in Dresden or at the training facilities of the other armed forces . As a rule, the prerequisite for becoming a military instructor is to have been a company commander , to have experience abroad and a knowledge of the English language. Often they were previously deputy battalion commanders or officers at various staff posts in the force.

Subjects

There are specialist troop teachers for almost all subjects from NBC defense to infrastructure and military history to dentistry. At the larger schools there are always staff officers from other branches of the armed forces who contribute their experience there.
