The Tryne Sound (Norwegian for Schnauzensund ) is a short and narrow passage on the coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . The sound connects the Trynevika Bay with the Tryne Fjord on the north side of the Langnes Peninsula .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it using aerial photos taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
