Tsutenkaku ( Jap. 通天閣 , dt. "Heaven-reaching tower") is the name of a 103 meter high transmission and observation tower near the JR West -Bahnhofs Shin-Imamiya in the district of Naniwa in Japanese Osaka , whose landmark it forms.

The steel lattice tower was built in 1956 as the successor to a tower built in 1912 and dismantled in 1943, based on the Eiffel Tower . The new tower is based on this design, but its exterior is much more sober and functional. The multi-storey observation decks are 84 meters and 87 meters high. Using two colors on the top of the tower, he indicates the weather forecast for the coming day.
