The Tschagytai ( Russian Чагытай or Джагытай-Куль / Dschagytai-Kul, Tuvinian Чагытай хөл / Tschagytai Chöl , also transcribed Chagytay or Dzhagytay Kul ') is a lake in the Autonomous Republic of Tuva in Russia . The lake is located in Koschuun ( Rajons ) Tandinski , about 22 kilometers southeast of the administrative center of Bai-Chaak . It is the deepest and largest freshwater lake in the Tuvinian Basin .
