Tsead Bruinja (born July 17, 1974 in Rinsumageest , Dantumadiel municipality ) is a Dutch poet who writes in Dutch and West Frisian .

Life

Bruinja studied English in Groningen . He writes Dutch and Frisian poetry, which he publishes in various magazines and anthologies. He self-published his first two Dutch books ( Vreemdgaan , 1998, and - with other authors - Startschot , 1999). In 2000 he found a publisher for his Frisian poems under the title de wizers yn it read . His collection of poems Dat het zo hoorde was nominated for the Jo Peters Poëzieprijs. In Groningen, he received the Hendrik de Vries grant with the Gewassen group in 2002.
