The Tsiafajavona is the third highest mountain in Madagascar at 2642 m . Only the Andringitra ( 2658 m ) and the Maromokotro ( 2876 m ) are even higher. It belongs to the Ankaratra mountain range and is located in the middle of the island. The endemic chameleon species Calumma hilleniusi lives on its slopes .
