The Tsuchiya ( Japanese 土屋 氏 , Tsuchiya-shi ) were a family of the Japanese sword nobility ( Buke ), which was derived from the Kammu - Taira . With an income of 90,000 Koku , the Tsuchiya last residing in Tsuchiura ( Ibaraki Prefecture ) belonged to the larger Fudai daimyo of the Edo period .

genealogy

The family resided successively in Kururi ( Kazusa Province ), from 1669 in Tsuchiura ( Hitachi ), from 1681 in Tanaka ( Suruga ) and from 1688 to 1868 again in Tsuchiura with 90,000 Koku. The last daimyo was

  • Shigenao ( 挙 直 , 1852-1892). After 1868 Vice Count .
