Tuʻungasika is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .
geography
Tuʻungasika is a motu off the western tip of the main island Vavaʻu. It is located in front of Longomapu and the Port Refuge harbor . This separates it from the Faihava Passage . In the southwest the islet of Luafatu joins, which is itself an extension of the headland Matahunga of the island Hunga . To the northwest of the island, the Fotula rock rises from the sea.
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vavaʻu group, Tuʻungasika is occasionally hit by cyclones .
