history

As a rural community, Huchting has belonged to Bremen since the Middle Ages and became a district of Bremen in 1945.
In 1904 the TV Huchting was founded by 14 members and in 1905 the Free Turnerschaft Huchting , which were forcibly dissolved by the Nazis in 1933. In 1946, sports began again through TV Huchting and the Huchting sports community , which merged in 1947 to form TuS Huchting . In 1953 the footballers broke up and founded FC Huchting. Since April 1998 the association has also been offering coronary sports with the support of doctors from Huchtingen.

In 1985 the TuS youth won the German basketball championship . Full-time employees have been working in Verein 2000 since 1997 . As a member of the Citizens and Social Center Huchting (BuS), TuS has been using the gym there since 1996. In 2004 TuS got its new club hall. In March 2010, the Gewoba housing association , TuS Huchting and Alten Eichen signed a cooperation agreement to initiate the Huchtinger boxing ring project. A boxing studio was built in the Robbenplater row of shops for this purpose. The Kraftwerk04 fitness hall opened in 2018.

TuS has 2400 members (2019). With a wide range of offers, TuS Huchting wants to appeal to everyone who is active in sports or wants to spend their free time sensibly.
