Rolf Peil (born January 2, 1948 ) is a German basketball coach .

career

Peil was the trainer of the female basketball national team in Bremen and youth coach at OSC Bremerhaven . In 1975 he led the female A-youth of the OSC to third place at the German championships, in the same year the Bremen state selection won second place at the tournament of the federal German state associations.

In 1980, the men's team of Vegesacker TV rose under Peil as a coach in the 2nd basketball league , in 1985 he led the men of the Oldenburg TB to promotion to the basketball league , where he also took the team as head coach in the 1985/86 season supervised. In the 1992/93 season, the men of TK Hannover completed the 2nd Bundesliga North under Peil's leadership as second in the table, after which he was the coach of the women at BTS Neustadt , with whom he also played in the top group in the 2nd Bundesliga. Then Peil took over the coaching position for the BTS men, who rose from the association league to the first regional league over a period of five years.

After leaving BTS in 2002, he worked as a trainer for the Bremen Basketball Association, and was also involved as a trainer at camps. As early as 1989, Peil was part of the coaching staff for the first time at an event organized by the provider Hoop-Camps eV . In the 2004/05 season, Peil was back at BTS Neustadt and coached the men's team in the major league; in the run-up to the 2005/06 season, he took up the post of coach at the second division club Bremen Roosters , and at the beginning of 2006 it came to a series of defeats Separation.

In 2010, Peil, who worked as a teacher, returned to BTS Neustadt and took over the coaching position for the BTS women (regional league) as well as tasks in youth work. At the end of the 2010/11 season he ended his engagement as coach of the BTS women.

In 2015 he took up the coaching position of the men's team of TuS Huchting to lead a new build in the district league.
