The TuS pan 28 is a sports club from the Herner district tub Eickelmann . The first soccer team played for four years in the highest Westphalian amateur league.

history

The association was founded in 1928 as TuS Reichsbahn Wanne . In 1943, the team reached the promotion round to the then first-class Gauliga Westfalen , but failed in the promotion round at SpVgg Erkenschwick . After the end of the Second World War , the team initially played for a few years in the midfield of the district class and in 1952 made it to the state league , the highest amateur league in Westphalia at the time. At the same time, the association took on its current name. In the promotion season of 1952/53 , the Wanner reached their sporting zenith in fifth place.

Three years later , the team was penultimate and only managed to stay in the league because the relegation in the regional league was suspended by the introduction of the Westphalia Association . Already in the following season, the Wanner descended from the national league as the knocked-down bottom of the table. At SG Welper the team lost 1:10, at TSV Fichte Hagen even 0:11. In the following district class season 1957/58, the team was passed through to the district class. With that the club disappeared from the higher class football. Since the descent in 2004, the Wanner have been playing in the Herner Kreisliga B.
