history

The club was founded on August 19, 1863 as Eilper Turnerschaft , from which TV Eintracht Eilpe split off in 1876 . In 1897 the Turnerbund Germania Eilpe split from the gymnastics club. In 1920 the Eilper Turnerschaft and TV Eintracht Eilpe merged to form TuS Eilpe 1863 . After the end of the Second World War , all sports clubs in Hagen were dissolved. TSV Fichte Hagen-Eilpe was founded as a joint successor club on September 8, 1945 . It was named after the German philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte . On October 25, 1952, the association finally took on its current name.

basketball

The basketball department was founded in 1951. Twenty years later, he was promoted to the regional league. In 1975 Fichtes basketball players together with those of the Deutsche Eiche Kückelhausen club founded the BG Hagen gaming community . Two years later, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga North . After the team initially played against relegation, BG Hagen was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1980. This was followed by direct relegation, followed by relegation from the 2nd Bundesliga in 1984. After Hasper SV joined BG Hagen in the meantime , the team gave short guest appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1986/87 seasons, from 1988 to 1990, 1993/94, and 1998/99.

It was not until 2001 that the team was able to establish itself in the 2nd Bundesliga for a longer period of time. In 2004 the basketball club Phoenix Hagen was founded out of the BG Hagen, which rented the license for the 2nd Bundesliga from the BG and took over the playing rights. The football department goes back to the clubs FC Eilpe and Westfalia Eilpe , which merged in 1911 to form Spiel und Sport Eilpe . One year later, FC Delstern was founded , which in the same year merged with games and sports to form FC Eilpe . In 1930 the SC Eilpe was added, which four years later merged with the Turnerbund Germania Eilpe to form TSC Germania Hagen-Eilpe . From a sporting point of view, the footballers were irrelevant until the end of the Second World War . This changed after the end of the war.

In 1947 the Hageners rose to the district class and welcomed 4,000 spectators at the home game against TuS Iserlohn . In 1954 the team was promoted to the state league , which at the time was the highest amateur league in Westphalia. In 1956 , TSV Fichte missed the qualification for the newly created Association League Westphalia and now played fourth class. In 1961, the Hagener were relegated from the regional league and two years later from the district class.

After being promoted again in the meantime, Fichte's footballers were promoted to the national league again in 1974. After a fourth place in the 1976/77 season, the team missed promotion to the association league a year later, to which fourth place would have been enough because of the introduction of the Oberliga Westfalen . In the following years it went down to the district league. Since relegation in 2014, the footballers of TSV Fichte have played in the district league A.

Handball

The roots of the handball department can be found in 1923, when the gymnastics association Germania Eilpe founded a handball team. In 1948 Fichtes were handball players after playing against TuS Ferndorf and Schalksmühler TV Südwestfalenmeister. In 1963 this success could be repeated.
