Tubmud is an English language MUD that went online in 1990. According to its own information, it is the oldest German MUD. Tubmud is an offshoot of the Swedish LP -MUD, which ran on a server at Linköping University and was later renamed Genesis . Tubmud took over large parts of their library in the initial phase.
Community
Tubmud had a large community of MUD wizards (programmers) in the 1990s and the library was taken over by various other MUDs. It ran on the computers of the computer science department at TU Berlin and was put on a private basis in 2007 by the mud administrators.
technology
Tubmud is an old LPMud , that is, the driver (game driver) is written in C and the library in LPC . As in many MUDs, the library can be modified by high-level users.
The connection to the MUD is made via Telnet , usually through one of the numerous MUD clients with a convenient user interface.
content
The world of Tubmud consists of many thematically different areas, for each of which a wizard or a domain with several wizards is responsible. The overarching scenario is medieval fantasy; Technology is forbidden.
