Tugela Ferry is a city in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal . It is located in Msinga Township, Umzinyathi District . The administrative seat of the municipality is located here. It is also the economic center of Msinga. The name of the city comes from the ferry across the Tugela , which was used here before the bridge was built.
In 2011 Tugela Ferry had 2,093 inhabitants. The city is at an altitude of 777 meters above sea level.
