Tullo Gramantieri

Tullo Gramantieri (born March 24, 1898 in Rome , † unknown) was an Italian author and film director .

Life

Gramantieri completed a law degree and worked as a journalist and author. His publications on the fine arts include “La miniatura e il ritratto in Europe” and “Il caso Manet”. In 1926 he founded the magazine "Vita artistica", which was renamed "Pinacotheca" two years later and was published until 1932. In 1934 he was the production manager for the feature film Luci Sommerse for Cines and wrote many Italian dialogue books for foreign language films. After his only film as a director, Principessa from 1943 (based on Walter Lang's The Little Princess ), he worked on the script based on his own novel for the film adaptation of La Fornarina . In 1954 he wrote La corda d'acciaio for Carlo Borghesio .
