Coordinates: 34 ° 23 ′ S , 136 ° 6 ′ E The Tumby Bay District Council is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of South Australia . The area is 2616 km² and has about 2600 inhabitants (2016).
Tumby Bay is located in the southeast of the Eyre Peninsula about 240 kilometers as the crow flies northwest of the metropolis of Adelaide . The area includes 25 hamlets and hamlets: Brooker, Butler, Butler Tanks, Carrow, Cockaleechie, Dixson, Hutchison, Koppio, Lipson, Lipson Cove, Moody, Moreenia, Mount Hill, Nicholls, Port Neil, Redcliff's, Stokes, Thuruna, Trinity Haven , Tumby Bay, Ungarra, Uranno, Waratta Vale, Yallunda Flat and Yaranyacka. The council is headquartered in Tumby Bay, southeast of LGA on the Spencer Gulf .
