Tumlaren (Swedish for porpoises ) is a small island in the Stockholm archipelago belonging to Sweden .

The island, built with several buildings, belongs to the municipality of Vaxholm . It is the westernmost island of the Gröna Jägarna archipelago, which consists of three islands . A little further east is the island of Storholmen , to the south- east is the island of Risholmen , which is not part of the archipelago . The ship passage from the Baltic Sea to Stockholm runs south and north of Tumlar . Tumlaren extends from northwest to southeast over about 100 meters, with a width of up to 50 meters.
