Tundla is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .
The city is part of the Firozabad District . Tundla has the status of a Nagar Palika Parishad . The city is divided into 25 wards . It had 50,423 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 26,510 were men and 23,913 women. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 84%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 86.43% and thus well above the national average.
Tundla is on National Highway 19 ( Delhi - Kolkata ), which connects it with the nearest major city, Agra , which is 15 miles away. The city also serves as a major rail hub in the North Central Railway Zone
