The 745 meter long Deschlberg tunnel , which crosses under the Deschlberg near Grasmannsdorf , was opened in 2011 as part of the construction of the Furth im Wald bypass ( B 20 ). Until the second section of the bypass from Furth-Mitte to Furth-Nord was released in summer 2013, the tunnel was dedicated as a state road. It also has a 739 meter long rescue tunnel. In particular because of the construction of the Deschlberg tunnel, the Furth im Wald bypass became one of the most expensive bypasses in Bavaria with a total of 75 million euros in construction costs. With the opening of the entire bypass, traffic in the direction of the Czech Republic flows completely through the tunnel.
