Turbo memory

Intel Turbo Memory (ITM) (code name Robson ) is a NAND flash memory- based technology developed by Intel to accelerate the startup process of operating systems and applications by storing frequently used data on mini PCIe modules (which have faster access times than mechanical hard drives have) latched be.

Among other things, Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7 with ReadyBoost can make use of it.

Turbo Memory was introduced in 2005 and has been available since 2007. Version 2.0 was presented in 2008 and the successor called Braidwood in 2009, which however never became available.
