Tuvalu Order of Merit
The Tuvalu Order of Merit is an award from the island state of Tuvalu . It was only created on October 1, 2016, on the 38th anniversary of Tuvalu's independence; T $ 30,000 is earmarked for the award in the 2017 national budget.
Awards
On October 30, 2017, the Honorary Consul General of Tuvalu, Sir Iftikhar Ayaz , awarded the medal to Prince William and Princess Catherine for the first time in Kensington Palace . This award is due to the royal visit as part of the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II.
