Tweedaagse van Vlaanderen
The Internationale Tweedaagse van Vlaanderen is a two-day popular hike . Traditionally, the event takes place on the first weekend in May in Blankenberge , Belgium . The organizer is the Internationale Tweedaagse van Vlaanderen vzw.
history
The first Internationale Tweedaagse van Vlaanderen was organized in 1969. The march is part of the marching events of the International Marching League (IML) and has been a founding member of the IML since 1987.
execution
Every day the participants can choose between different distances. The route leads once in the direction of Ostend and once in the direction of Knokke . The order is changed annually. The organizers choose a new theme for the hike every year.
Distances:
- 6 km - family hike
- 15 km - animated hike
- 24 km - sporty nature hike
- 42 km - marathon hike
Awards
After successfully completing the International Tweedaagse van Vlaanderen, an annually changing, non-wearable medal and patch is awarded to the topic .
