Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh

The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh was produced as a special model for the 20th anniversary of the Californian computer manufacturer Apple in 1997. It was produced in a limited edition for a whole year. The price fell during the production period from initially 10,000 US dollars until it was discontinued in March 1998 to 1,999 US dollars.

The motherboard was similar to that of the PowerMac 5500 and had the same processor as the PowerPC 603ev , which was clocked at 250 MHz .

It had a built-in 12.1 ″ active matrix liquid crystal screen and a sound system developed by Bose with integrated loudspeakers and a separate woofer . He also had a built-in TV tuner and an S-Video input and still contained a 33,6- kbps - GeoPort - modem .

The scope of delivery included a compact keyboard with a removable touchpad , but no mouse. A remote control was included for the TV tuner, the sound output and the control of audio CDs. The accessories also included a leather CD case and a set of ballpoint pens in a leather case.
