The Twin Rocks (English for twin rocks ) are two neighboring cliffs in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . They rise 10 km east of the halfway nunatak from the Lower Staircase of the Skelton Glacier . They represent an important landmark on the ascent over the glacier to the polar plateau .
The New Zealand crew of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) gave them their descriptive name.
