The Tyndall Range is a mountain range in the west of the Australian state of Tasmania . It is part of the West Coast Range and is home to the state reserve Tyndall Regional Reserve , which serves as a western buffer zone for Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park . The Tyndall Range is north of Mount Sedgwick .

The highest point is Mount Tyndall in the northern part of the mountain range. The western flank of the mountains can be seen from Anthony Road (B28), while the high plateau is free of roads and can only be viewed or hiked from the air.

There are a number of glacial lakes in the Tyndalls. The larger of these are Lake Huntley, Lake Rolleston, Lake Tyndall, and Lake Matthew.

In the early 20th century, the Tyndalls were searched for ore, but commercial mining never occurred.
