Tyrant's Reign is an American thrash metal band from Illinois that was formed in 1985, disbanded in 1990, and reunited in 2003.

history

The band was formed in 1985. In 1987, singer Randy Barron, guitarists Karl Miller and Chris Nelken, bassist Phil Fouch and drummer Gabriel Anthony found a permanent line-up. After the band had released three demos and they still could not achieve a record deal , the band founded their own label Cynical Records, which released the EP Year of the Tyrants in 1987 . Guitarist Jeff Bagherpour left the band shortly before the recording. The band broke up in 1990. The band has been continuously active again since 2003, having performed live again in 2000. In 2008 the band played on the tenth Keep It True .

style

The band plays classic Thrash Metal, with the vocals being described as siren-like , so that comparisons with bands like Blessed Death , Toxik and Hades are drawn. Some songs are also reminiscent of the works of Mercyful Fate or Slayer .
