Blessed Death was an American thrash metal band.
history
Blessed Death was formed in 1984 in Old Bridge , New Jersey , and released two albums, Kill or Be Killed and Destined for Extinction . In 1990 they recorded the Demo Terminal Rage . In 1991 the live CD Live Rage was released with recordings from Belgium from 1988 and from Old Bridge from 1990.
In July 1991, Hour of Pain by Alex Perialas was recorded at Pyramid Sound Studios in Ithaca , but not released as the band split up in 1992. On the album, John "Zork" Wieczorek played keyboard . The band has been selling the album on CD-Baby.com since 2006 .
style
The lyrics of Blessed Death are about mass annihilation, nuclear wars and the apocalypse to draw attention to the bad in the world. Musically they were mainly inspired by Black Sabbath , as well as Pink Floyd , Motörhead and Slayer . At first there were also Mercyful Fate and Voivod .
