Old Bridge Militia
The Old Bridge Militia was a group of fanatical metal fans who ran a kind of heavy metal hotel in town in the 1980s, where bands like Metallica , Anvil , Slayer , Motörhead and Blessed Death could stay when they were in were on tour in the area. The latter come from Old Bridge themselves and became a kind of house band there, which is why they dedicated the song "Knights Of Old Bridge" to the Old Bridge Militia years later on their 2006 album "Hour Of Pain". Slayer also bowed to the OBM on their first (quasi) live album " Live Undead " from 1983 - to be heard in the announcement of "Aggressive Perfector", the last song on the record.
