Construction

This underground station was designed by the G. Balser architectural association. The 8 m high hall resembles an exhibition hall. The wall behind the track in the direction of Bockenheimer Warte is structured by large areas of color (idea: Gerhard Lienemeyer) that allude to the colorful flags that hang in front of the entrance to the fair. Two 12 m high glass cones, the shape of which was probably inspired by the top of the exhibition tower, serve as entrances and allow daylight to enter. An elevator takes you from the southern cone directly to the platform.
