Staroměstská station platform

Staroměstská is a station of the Prague Metro on line A . It is located in the Old Town of Prague (Staré město) , after which it is named.

The Staroměstská station was opened with the commissioning of the first section of Line A on August 12, 1978. The platform is 28 meters deep. Access on Kaprova Street is in the immediate vicinity of the Staroměstská tram stop , the Rudolfinum , the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University , the Pinkas Synagogue and the Czech National Library . Since the construction there have been plans to build a second entrance from the Old Town Square, but this is not currently planned. The station was affected by the Vltava flood in 2002 .
