National U-Thong Museum

The U-Thong National Museum ( Thai : พิพิธภัณฑสถาน แห่ง ชาติ อู่ทอง ) is one of the national museums of Thailand and is located in the district ( Amphoe ) U Thong of the Suphan Buri province in central Thailand .

The U-Thong National Museum is seven kilometers southwest of Suphan Buri.

The U-Thong National Museum opened in 1976.

Attractions

The National U-Thong Museum houses objects found during excavations in Suphan Buri Province, including a number of important works of art from the Dvaravati period. Overall, the pieces range from the early Stone Age through the 4th / 5th century (fired clay) to Srivijaya art.

The history and life of the Thai Song Dam is shown, a small house in the style of this people stands on the grounds of the museum.
