- The ЭПЛ2Т (EPL2T) is in the luhanskteplovoz built railcars the Ukrainian Railways , which especially in suburban traffic on networks with 3 kV direct current is used. The letter T stands for the use of the recuperation brake.
history
The electric train was produced in the Luhansk locomotive factory . It is intended for passenger transport on railway lines in a temperate climate, which are covered with a contact wire voltage of 3 kV direct current . The usual composition of the train consists of eight cars; Two control cars , four motor cars and two sidecars. The multiple unit is operated in the formation: control car - motor car - sidecar - motor car - motor car - sidecar - motor car - control car.
Technical characteristics
The motor vehicle of the electric trains consists of two two-axle bogies with two spring suspensions via a friction clutch with dampers and a central cradle suspension with hydraulic vibration dampers. The electric train uses traction motors for direct current . The traction drive consists of the combination of suspensions; the traction drive motors are connected to the bogie frame with the supporting frame suspension, the drive gear is connected to the drive axle via the so-called supporting axle suspension . The electric hoist is equipped with the recuperation brake , the electropneumatic brake, the compressed air brake and the handbrake.
The mounting of the bogies of the control and trailer cars is designed without pivot pins with two-stage spring suspension according to the Flexicoil design . The design of the suspension in the motor vehicle and sidecar ensures easy gear and a high level of comfort in the passenger compartments.
The body of the wagons and the frame are made of stainless steel with reinforcing beads. Originally the boxes of the control cars were designed in the manner of the UZ series ЭПЛ9Т , from around inventory number 0015 they were given the shape with the aerodynamic cladding. Between the wagons there is a closed transition area as a balloon type, it ensures a safe passage for passengers between the wagons. The wagons of the electric trains are equipped with the automatic central buffer coupling.

The passenger compartments are spacious and equipped with comfortable, semi-soft seats and automatic radio. Luggage racks are located on the side walls above the windows, while hanging hooks for clothing are provided in the partition walls between the windows. The design of the passenger compartment, the dimensions and arrangement of the seats, the doors and the running boards enable the passengers to get on and off as intensely as possible. The heating systems and the thermal insulation of the car body automatically ensure that the average temperature of +15 ° C is maintained during the cold season. Natural and accurate ventilation is provided in the passenger compartments; Forced ventilation is available in the toilet rooms.
The electric train is equipped with automatic fire signaling, it reacts to heat and smoke. The lighting of the passenger compartments, the engine driver's cab, the vestibules of the machine separation and the toilets are supplied by fluorescent lamps . In addition, there is emergency lighting in the passenger compartments and the toilets with light bulbs . Emergency brake taps are installed in the passenger compartments and in the vestibules for the emergency brake.
Delivery and operation
The electric train ЭПЛ2Т is operated only by the Ukrzalisnytsja . The first multiple unit was built as an 8-car train on October 24, 2000. Series production began in 2001, as of July 2013 delivery was actually interrupted, although there is still a need for more vehicles (the last train ЭПЛ2Т.035 was delivered in 2008). The construction of the ЭПЛ2Т.036 was interrupted in November 2008 due to the financial crisis in Ukraine . All eight wagons of the train were built to the size of the car bodies without bogies, at the present time the half-finished multiple unit is in a non-working department of the manufacturer's plant . Simultaneously with the ЭПЛ2Т , analog trains for alternating current with the designation ЭПЛ9Т (EPL9T) were manufactured in the Luhansk locomotive factory . So far, 15 trains have been delivered.
