Ubantakoto (also: Ubrantakoto Iceland , Upalhaku ) is a Motu of Butaritari - atoll of the Pacific island republic of Kiribati .

Ubantakoto is a tiny reef island and one of the easternmost islands in the Butaritari Atoll. Located at the eastern end of the Closed Northern Reef Awash , it belongs to a small group with Namoka , Natata , Kaionobi and other tiny sandbars that make up the northeast corner of the atoll. About 6 km away in the north is the island of Onne of the Makin archipelago .
