Ubinas is a stratovolcano in southwestern Peru . It is 5672  m high and is located in the Moquegua , 900 kilometers south of Lima . The city of Querapi lies at its foot .

Chronology of the eruptions

His last activity before 2006 was in 1956. Since April 22, 2006, Ubina's ashes were spitting and threatening to break out. On April 23, 2006, the authorities declared a state of emergency in the places near the volcano.

Since Easter 2014, the volcano has been again in increased activity and spat an ash cloud up to four kilometers into the atmosphere. An eruption followed in September 2015, in which a 4000 m high ash column was created within 30 seconds. The heat in the crater was measured.
