Udo Friedrich
Udo Friedrich (* 1956 in Rheine ) is a German specialist in German .
Life
He completed his studies in German, philosophy and journalism at the WWU Münster (MA) with a doctorate from the University of Hamburg . After completing his habilitation at the LMU Munich , he taught from 2003 to 2007 as Professor of Older German Philology at the University of Greifswald and from 2007 to 2013 as Professor of Older German Language and Literature at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . Since 2013 he has been Professor for Older German Language and Literature at the University of Cologne .
His main research interests are orders of knowledge / cultural semiotics, historical narratology and metaphorology, and topics and rhetoric.
