Martin Huber (literary scholar)

Martin Huber (born August 11, 1962 in Augsburg ) is a German literary scholar .

Life

From 1983 he studied German and English at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (LMU). After obtaining his Magister Artium in Modern German Literature in 1988 , he taught at the Institute for German Philology at LMU. After receiving his doctorate in 1991 as Dr. phil. In 1991 he became a research associate at the Institute of German Philology at LMU Munich. In 1992 he became editor of the International Archive for the Social History of German Literature (IASL). In 1993 he became a research assistant at the Institute for German Philology at the LMU Munich (chair Wolfgang Frühwald ). In 1998 he received a postdoctoral fellowship from the German Research Foundation . After his habilitation in 2000 at the LMU Munich ( Venia legendi for Modern German Literature), he became co-editor of IASL online . In 2001 he became senior research assistant / private lecturer at the Institute for German Philology. In 2003 he accepted a professorship for modern German literary studies and media theory at the FernUniversität in Hagen . In 2004 he became a member of the board of the German Association of Germanists . From 2006 to 2008 he was Dean of the Faculty for Cultural and Social Sciences at the FernUniversität in Hagen. In 2007 he became 2nd chairman of the German Association of Germanists. In 2010 he became professor for modern German literature at the University of Bayreuth .
