Udo Worschech

Udo Worschech (* 1942 ) is a German Adventist professor of Old Testament and Biblical archeology at the Friedensau Theological College (Saxony-Anhalt). He was the rector of the university from 1996 to 2007 .

Worschech studied theology and biblical archeology at Andrews University (USA) and received his doctorate in 1982 from the University of Frankfurt am Main . From 1972 he was a lecturer at the Marienhöhe Theological Seminary (Darmstadt) and from 1984 teaching assignments at the University of Frankfurt am Main. He has been teaching at the Friedensau Theological University since 1993, from 1996 as a professor. He is co-editor of the Friedensau series and editor of the articles on the study of the ancient Ard el-Kerak (BEAK).

Worschech has been carrying out regular excavations in ancient Moab (today in Jordan ) since 1983 and is the author of numerous publications on biblical archeology.
