Uganda Christian University

The Uganda Christian University (UCU, Christian University Uganda) is a university in Uganda , by the Anglican Church of the Province of Uganda is operated. The university was formed in 1997 as the umbrella organization for the Anglican colleges and was officially recognized by the Ugandan government. Its headquarters are at Bishop Tucker College .

The main campus of Bishop Tucker College is located on an area of ​​27 hectares in Mukono between Kampala and Jinja . The college, founded in 1913, has about 3,000 students.

The university also includes the Bishop Barham College in Kabale in southwest Uganda on Rugarama Hill . The college was founded in 1924 and currently offers 500 students study places.

The University's Chancellor is the Archbishop of Uganda, Henry Luke Orombi . Rowan Douglas Williams , Archbishop of Canterbury is their patron.
