The Ugarchin Point (English; Bulgarian нос Угърчин nos Ugartschin ) is a headland on the northeast coast of Robert Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 4.7 km west of Smirnenski Point and 4.2 km southeast of Newell Point .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it the year before after the city of Ugartschin in northern Bulgaria .
