Gostivar clock tower

The west-north Macedonian city ​​of Gostivar is known for its centuries-old clock tower . The building, called Sahat-Kula or Kulla e Sahatit by the population , was built during the Ottoman era . Today it is considered a cultural monument of the city.

The building stands in the historic city center next to the Sahati mosque and the madrasa named after the clock tower .

Building history

The clock tower has been renewed several times since it was built in 1728/29. During the last renovation work in 2010, 7,500 euros were invested and high-quality lighting was installed.
