Uladzimir Tarasevich
Uladzimir Tarasevich ( Belarusian Уладзімір Тарасевіч ; born November 27, 1921 in Kleschnjaki , Belarus ; † January 2, 1986 , Soviet Union ) was a Belarusian bishop .
Life
Uladsimir Tarasewitsch was born on November 27, 1921 in Kleschnjaki, Belarus. At the age of twenty-seven, on May 26, 1949, Tarasevich was ordained a priest in the order of the Benedictines . On July 1, 1983, at the age of sixty-one, he was appointed titular bishop of Mariamme . He received the solemn episcopal ordination on September 8, 1983 by the bishop of the Eparchy Saint Nicolas of Chicago ( USA ) of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church , Hilarion Innocent Lotocky OSBM . Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Salina (USA), Daniel William Kucera OSB and the Bishop of the Eparchy Parma (USA) of the Ruthenian Greek Catholic Church , Emil John Mihalik .
Uladzimir Tarasevich was appointed Apostolic Visitator for the Uniate Catholics living in the Diaspora in Belarus .
Bishop Uladzimir Tarasevich died on January 2, 1986 at the age of sixty-four.
