Ulla-Britt Söderlund
Ulla-Britt Söderlund (born August 12, 1943 in Växjö , Sweden , † July 21, 1985 in Copenhagen ) was a Swedish costume designer who won an Oscar for best costume design in 1976 .
Life
Ulla-Britt Söderlund began her career as a costume designer in the film industry in 1966 for the film Sult and worked on the costumes for 25 films until 1982.
At the Academy Awards in 1976, she won along with Milena Canonero the Oscar for Best Costume Design in Barry Lyndon (1975) by Stanley Kubrick with Ryan O'Neal , Marisa Berenson and Patrick Magee in the lead roles . At the same time, she and Milena Canonero were nominated for the British Academy Film Award for best costumes .
