Ulrich Büdenbender

Ulrich Büdenbender (born September 1, 1948 in Siegen ) is a German lawyer . Since 1998 he has been professor for civil law, energy law and labor law at the Technical University of Dresden .

Life

Ulrich Büdenbender studied law at the University of Bonn and worked there as a research assistant at the Institute for Civil Procedure Law for one year after completing the 1st state examination in 1971. During this time he did his doctorate on a topic related to family law and civil litigation. After the assessor examination, Büdenbender worked at RWE from 1975 to 1998 , initially as a legal adviser, later as HR director and since 1991 as a member of the board. During this time he worked scientifically and gave lectures at the universities of Essen, Duisburg and Cologne.

In 1995 he completed his habilitation at the University of Cologne on an antitrust law topic and received the license to teach civil law, commercial law and civil procedure law. On April 1, 1998, he took over the professorship for civil law, energy law and labor law at the Technical University of Dresden while retaining the honorary professorship at the University of Essen.

He has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Bavaria Bonn since the beginning of his studies in 1967 .
