Jochen Mohr

Jochen Mohr (born October 26, 1969 in Heidelberg ) is a German legal scholar and professor of civil and commercial law at the Law Faculty of the University of Leipzig . Since July 1, 2018, Jochen Mohr has also been Managing Director of the Institute for Energy and Regulatory Law Berlin e. V. (Enreg).

Life

After training as an industrial clerk at Siemens AG in Mannheim and Berlin (parent company apprenticeship ), Mohr studied law at the Free University of Berlin from 1992 to 1997 . He then completed his legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal and graduated with the second state examination in 2000.

In 2002, Mohr was organized by the Law Faculty of the Free University of Berlin Dr. iur. PhD.

After working as a lawyer and research assistant, in February 2014 the Faculty of Law at the Free University of Berlin awarded him the license to teach in the subjects of civil law, competition and energy law, regulatory law and labor law.

Between February 2014 and August 2017, Jochen Mohr held the chair (W3) for civil law, antitrust law, energy law and labor law at the Faculty of Law at the Technical University of Dresden as well as director of the institute for antitrust law, energy law and telecommunications law there.

He has been working at the University of Leipzig since September 1, 2017, where he currently holds the chair (W3) for civil law, competition law, energy law, regulatory law and labor law, as well as managing director of the Institute for Energy and Regulatory Law.

Between June 2016 and August 2019, Mohr was a judge in the second main office of the 3rd Cartel Senate of the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court , which mainly deals with questions of energy law.

On July 1, 2018, he took over the management of the Institute for Energy and Regulatory Law Berlin eV (Enreg).

Jochen Mohr is a member of the Civil Law Teachers Association and the Association of Labor Law Teachers. Jochen Mohr has been a member of the board of the Scientific Association for all regulatory law since September 2018.
