Ulrich Foerste

Ulrich Foerste (* 1955 in Münster ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Osnabrück .

Life

Foerste studied law and in 1985 at the University of Muenster in Wolfgang Harms Dr. jur. PhD. In 1992 he completed his habilitation at the University of Göttingen , with which he acquired the venia legendi for the subjects of civil law and civil procedural law. In 1993 Foerste became a professor at the University of Konstanz . In 1995 Foerste moved to the University of Osnabrück , where he has since held the chair for civil law and civil procedural law, assigned to the institute for procedural law and general comparative proceedings. In 2006 he was appointed "Ombudsman for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice and Dealing with Scientific Misconduct" by the University of Osnabrück; the term of office ended on March 31, 2017.
