Ulrich Noack (legal scholar)

Ulrich Noack (born October 27, 1956 in Unterriexingen ) is a German lawyer and professor at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .

In 1976, Noack began studying law at the University of Tübingen , which he completed in 1982 with the first state examination in law. After the second state examination in 1985 he was a research assistant of Wolfgang customs officers at the Institute of Labor and Social Security Law at the University of Tübingen, where he in 1988 with a study to erroneous decisions in companies and associations to Dr. iur. received his doctorate. In 1993 he completed his habilitation with a thesis on " Shareholder agreements in corporations" .

After holding a professorship at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena , Noack accepted a professorship at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf in 1994, where he has held the chair for civil, commercial and business law ever since. He is also managing director of the Institute for Corporate Law and Director of the Institute for Insolvency and Reorganization Law, the Center for Commercial Legal Protection and the Center for Information Law. He declined offers to the universities of Mainz (1993), Jena (1994) and Cologne (2003). Noack is also a member of the scientific advisory board of the Deutsches Aktieninstitut .

Michael Beurskens is one of Noack's students .
