Ulrich Rippert

Ulrich Rippert (* 1951 in Munich ) is a German journalist and chairman of the Socialist Equality Party (SGP).

Rippert joined the Trotskyist movement in 1969 while training as a machine fitter . In 1971 he was one of the founding members of the Federation of Socialist Workers , a forerunner of the SGP. In 1981 he played a leading role in staffing VDM in Frankfurt am Main .

In his role as a journalist, Rippert is a member of the international editorial team of the World Socialist Web Site (WSWS), a website of the International Committee of the Fourth International . The SGP also belongs to this committee. Rippert is the father of two daughters and lives in Berlin .
