Ulrich Walbrühl

Ulrich Friedrich Walbrühl (born September 21, 1964 in Bonn ) is a German business psychologist and university professor.

Life

From 1991 to 1997, Walbrühl studied psychology at the University of Bonn and Organizational Development and Transformation at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, USA. In 2005 he received his doctorate at the University of Mainz (chair Franz Hamburger ) in social education with a dissertation on the effectiveness of debt counseling. In addition, he was appointed several times to the Federal Government's Scientific Advisory Board on the Federal Government's Poverty and Wealth Report . He contributed to the preparation of the second (2005) and third poverty and wealth reports (2008).

Since 2006 he has worked as a university lecturer for business psychology at the Hochschule Fresenius Cologne. Between 2006 and 2009 he was involved in a project to introduce debt counseling in South Africa, which was run by BMW South Africa and the state development cooperation organization GTZ (today: GIZ ).

In 2011 he was appointed professor for human resources , organizational theory and change management at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne . At the same time, he took over the management of the Business Psychology (B.Sc.) course, which was being developed at the time. In 2014 he accepted an appointment as professor for diversity management at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia (Duisburg location). He represents the subjects of psychology as well as intercultural and social skills in research and teaching and works as an expert, consultant and coach for organizations in business and administration.

Walbrühl is a member of the Professional Association of German Psychologists (BDP), the Society for Applied Business Psychology (GWPS) and the Association of University Teachers .

He is married and lives in Düsseldorf with his wife and son.
