Ulrich Wessel

Ulrich Wessel (born January 9, 1946 in Bielefeld , † April 25, 1975 in Stockholm ) was a German terrorist of the Red Army Faction (RAF).

Wessel, the son of a businessman and millionaire, participated on 24 April 1975 at the action of the command Holger Meins , the taking of hostages of Stockholm . In the accidental explosion of a prepared explosive charge , Wessel was killed. In May of the same year he was buried in the Johannisfriedhof in Bielefeld.

In 1991 at the scene of the murder of Detlev Rohwedder, among other things, a letter of confession from the RAF command "Ulrich Wessel" was found.
