Ulrich Wiechers

Ulrich Wiechers (born July 11, 1949 in Münster ) is a former German judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

After completing his legal training, Wiechers entered the higher judicial service there in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1978 and held various positions at the Beckum and Gelsenkirchen district courts, the Münster and Dortmund regional courts and the Hamm Higher Regional Court . Wiechers was then appointed judge at the Münster Regional Court in 1982 and, after being seconded to the Ministry of Justice in North Rhine-Westphalia, was appointed Judge at the Hamm Higher Regional Court. After another position in the Brandenburg Ministry of Justice , he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice in 1992. On February 13, 2009, Federal President Horst Köhler appointed him presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice.

Wiechers was chaired by the presidium of the court. Assigned civil senate, which deals mainly with banking, stock exchange and securities law. Wiechers is Gerd Nobbe's successor .

Upon reaching the age limit, Wiechers retired on November 1, 2014.
